HOW DOES JUNK FOOD AFFECT YOUR CIRCULATORY SYSTEM?
Junk food has a negative effect on your body for two reasons. Firstly, junk food contains a lot of trans fat, and saturated fat, so it assaults your circulatory system. For example, the trans fat can clog your arteries and prevent oxygen from getting to your brain and other important organs. If a blood vessel in your brain becomes clogged, the vessel could explode causing death or serious injury. Secondly, your body uses the sugar for energy, because junk food doesn’t have any nutrients. For instance, when people feel a "sugar high", they are hyperactive and have trouble focusing. After a bit the sugar runs out and you feel a "sugar crash". These are the reasons that junk food is harmful to your circulatory system. Now you know that you should be more aware of what you are eating and what it could do to your body.
DIABETES
Junk food can cause you to develop type 2 diabetes. The sugar in junk food will cause your blood sugar to rise and your pancreas to be overworked. So it will not be able to properly produce insulin which is needed to keep your blood sugar stable. Also you will be more likely to get type 2 diabetes if you are over weight. Therefore food choice is a big part of whether or not you can be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
